for oncologists & clinical teams

Less trial and error.

A ranked, functional answer for your patient's own tumor, to find the best treatment option.

cResponse™ tests your patient's live tumor tissue against the treatment options you're already considering, before they start one, so the decision is grounded in how their tumor actually responds, in about 14 business days, not in population averages or a genomic snapshot alone.

The gap current tools leave open

Most treatment decisions are still made against population-level statistics, how a drug performed across a trial cohort, not against how this specific patient's tumor behaves. For many treatment classes, that means response rates well under 50%, applied to an individual case as a best estimate rather than a tested answer.

Genomic profiling narrows the field, but it doesn't close the gap. Sequencing is highly sensitive at detecting alterations, roughly 92% of sequenced solid tumor patients have at least one, but only around 26% of those findings lead to an actual targeted therapy recommendation, and overall direction coverage from NGS alone lands around 24%, roughly 1 in 4 patients sequenced. For the rest, a genomic finding tells you what's in the tumor without telling you what will work on it.

What's missing is a way to verify efficacy before committing to a regimen, and to weigh that against the adverse events a patient will face if it doesn't work. cResponse™ is built for exactly that gap: a ranked, functional answer across the options under consideration, grounded in how the patient's own tumor responds, not a population average or a genomic inference.

When to consider cResponse™
Recommended conditions for using cResponse™ as a decision support tool.
01

High treatment decision complexity, multiple guideline-recommended options

02

Low reported treatment response rates (ORR < 50%)

03

Significant or severe side effects associated with treatment options

04

Rapid disease progression

Key takeaway

Early use of cResponse™ helps avoid rapid deterioration and transition to later-line treatments with lower ORR and shorter PFS.

Our 2026 test menu covers 25 strategic indications across metastatic, adjuvant, and neoadjuvant settings, but the menu isn't exhaustive. We can work with you on any decision junction where these conditions occur. See the full 2026 test menu →

Decision utility, in practice
In a published post-market analysis of 278 patients (Bar et al., J. Pers. Med. 2026), each patient's intended first choice was compared against the other options tested on the same tissue.

Eligibility & sample requirements
  • Solid tumor diagnosis, with a treatment decision pending between more than one option.
  • Sufficient residual tumor from which a 16G biopsy can be taken.
  • A fresh biopsy specific to this test, previously archived tissue cannot be used.
  • cResponse™ can also run rapid genomic sequencing itself, to help identify candidate treatments worth carrying into the functional panel from a single workflow.
Fits inside your existing decision, doesn't sit outside it

Most oncologists won't take on the professional risk of prescribing outside NCCN guidance, and cResponse™ isn't built to ask that of you. The panel is designed around the options already on the table for your patient's diagnosis, on-label first, so the result ranks among choices you'd already be considering rather than arguing for one you wouldn't.

Sometimes the result points to a gentler option, sometimes to a more aggressive one, but always within guideline-supported choices for that indication.

Common questions

Does this replace NGS?

No. cResponse™ is a functional layer that sits on top of standard of care. Where genomic testing ends, for most patients, most of the time, functional testing begins. We can also run the genomic sequencing component ourselves for a single, integrated workup.

What if a drug I want tested isn't in the panel?

Panels are built around on-label options for the diagnosis. We work with all approved and reimbursed drugs, so that when a therapy is found promising it can be accessed and used by the patient. We can discuss whether an off-label or investigational compound can be included.

How is this different from PDX or organoid models?

cResponse™ preserves the intact human tumor microenvironment, immune components included, rather than reconstructing it. See the comparison table on the Platform page for a full breakdown against PDX, organoid, and 2D models.

How many treatment options can be tested per sample?

Up to 10 arms from a single tissue sample.

Who do I contact with questions before ordering?

Our clinical support team can help you determine the right panel and answer questions about a specific case before you order.
